The TrueMove3 sensor offered 1:1 tracking with zero acceleration, 12,000 CPI max, and 350 IPS tracking speed. Tactile silicone grips prevented sweaty hand slippage during clutch rounds. RGB lighting in three zones (logo, wheel, rear) provided customization via SteelSeries Engine software. Split-trigger buttons reduced pre-travel for faster clicks.
Esports Adoption
CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, and Overwatch pros chose the Rival 310 for its reliability and mid-weight feel (88g suited various grip styles). Longevity
The Rival 310 competed with Logitech G403/G703 and Razer DeathAdder Elite in the mid-weight ergonomic category. It lasted 3-4 years before newer sensors (HERO, Focus+) and wireless options (G Pro Wireless) shifted preferences. Many users kept it as backup/travel mouse, testament to durability.
