Also known as: it's bonedifficulttough situation

TáOsso (literally “it’s bone”) emerged as Brazilian expression for extreme difficulty. Bones being hard to chew metaphorically described tough situations: economic struggles, complicated problems, challenging times.

During Brazil’s economic crises (2014-2016 recession, pandemic), TáOsso usage spiked. Brazilians documented unemployment, inflation, political chaos through hashtag. The phrase mixed humor with genuine hardship acknowledgment — laughing through pain.

TáOsso versatility covered personal (relationship problems), financial (bills overwhelming), and national (political scandals) difficulties. The shared vocabulary created solidarity through collective struggle recognition.
