High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) arrived in Ukraine in June 2022 and immediately changed the battlefield. With 80km range and GPS precision, they destroyed Russian ammunition depots, command posts, and supply lines far behind front lines. Each HIMARS strike spawned celebrations online.
The hashtag represented a turning point: Ukraine moving from defense to counteroffensive capability. “HIMARS o’clock” became a meme for daily strikes. Russia desperately tried to destroy HIMARS systems while Ukraine used them to devastating effect, enabling the Kharkiv and Kherson counteroffensives.
