Jung Boey (Thai adaptation of Korean “정말”/jinjja = really) became Thai K-pop fans’ cuteness exclamation. Thai speakers transformed Korean expression into Thai phonetic system, creating hybrid fandom language mixing Korean influence with Thai linguistic patterns.

Thai K-pop fans used Jung Boey reacting to: idol cuteness, aegyo moments, wholesome interactions, adorable content. The phrase signaled both cultural literacy (understanding Korean) and community membership (Thai K-pop stan culture).

The linguistic borrowing demonstrated K-pop’s Thai cultural impact. Rather than translating to Thai equivalents, fans maintained Korean roots, creating distinct fan vocabulary that marked insider status.
