Tom Brady is widely considered the greatest NFL quarterback of all time, winning seven Super Bowls (six with New England Patriots, one with Tampa Bay Buccaneers) across a 23-year career (2000-2022).

Championships & Records

Brady won Super Bowls in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, 2019 (Patriots) and 2021 (Buccaneers), earning five Super Bowl MVP awards. His 2017 comeback from 28-3 against Atlanta remains the largest deficit overcome in Super Bowl history.

He holds NFL records for career passing yards (89,214), touchdowns (649), completions (7,753), and wins (251). At age 43, he won his seventh championship, the oldest QB to win a title.

Patriots Dynasty

Under Bill Belichick, Brady led New England to nine Super Bowl appearances in 20 seasons. The Patriots won three championships in four years (2002-2005), then three in five years (2015-2019).

The 2007 team went 16-0 in the regular season before losing to the Giants in the Super Bowl. Brady won unanimous MVP that year with 50 touchdown passes.

Tampa Bay Resurrection

After leaving New England in 2020, Brady signed with Tampa Bay and won the championship in his first season. The 2021 Super Bowl victory over Kansas City cemented his GOAT status independent of Belichick.

He retired after the 2021 season, then unretired 40 days later, playing one more season before final retirement in February 2023.

TB12 Method

Brady’s TB12 Method emphasized pliability training, plant-based diet, and recovery techniques, allowing him to play at elite levels into his mid-40s. His longevity challenged traditional athlete aging curves.

The TB12 brand expanded into supplements, training facilities, and lifestyle products, monetizing his fitness philosophy.

Cultural Icon

Brady’s relationship with Gisele Bündchen, Ugg commercials, and Hollywood connections made him a crossover celebrity. His Netflix roast (2023) and broadcasting deal with Fox (10 years, $375 million) extended his media presence.

#TomBrady trended during every playoff run, retirement announcement, and unretirement, dominating sports discourse for two decades.
